For our last day the weather was kind to us and after slowly leaving the comfort of our apartment we made our way to lunch at the Piazza Signore to watch the tourist traffic. Filling on pizza, lasagne and a glass of Tuscany's best red, I took Mum on a ride in a horse and carriage around the immediate old city area. Mum did make mention of perhaps having the chance to go to the toilet before the wheels of the carriage hit the cobbles, but there was facilities on hand upon our return.
We then took a taxi to Michelangelo's Square for a full and panoramic view of the city. Our touring ended at Santa Croce where we checked out Michelangelo's and Galileo's graves located within the church.
Mum made a meal of our left overs back at the apartment and we ended the day finalising our packing.
Back for a day and a half in Rome tomorrow.
