Paris - 18 April

Today was a 'big' sightseeing day with the loose themes of religion, death and love. We visited the following:

  • Basilique du Sacre-Coeur (Basilica on top of one of Paris's only hills)

  • Cathedrale de Notre Dame (Hunch-back of Notre Dame fame)

              • Monte Matre (Quaint suburb where famous artists once practiced)

              • Cimetiere du Pere Lachaise (Famous people buried here for eg. Jim Morrison, Chopan, Oscar Wilde and Edith Piraf)

              • Alma Tunnel (Scene of Princess Dianna's car crash)

              • Bridge over River Seine where people leave padlocks attached to fence to show their love.

              • Eiffel Tower at night (very romantic)
