Cooktown Endeavour Festival 2013

It's been a while bloggers but I had to put some photos of our trip to Cooktown up for all to see.  We traveled to this tiny town on the gorgeous Endeavour River to join in on the festivities of the Cooktown Discovery Festival and we were not disappointed.  However, two treats worthy of mention were a trip up in a helicopter and a morning spent fishing on the Endeavour River with  Gone Fishing Cooktown.  Thanks to Mark from 'Gone Fishing' we learned how to fish in a calm and considered manner.  We didn't catch more than around 20 fish but I managed my second Barramundi and first Mangrove Jack.  My casting should be accurate now as I practiced Mark's way.
